About

Clerestory is named after the band of high windows that lights a nave from above. That is how we try to show work: one piece at a time, with enough wall around it and enough light on it to be seen properly.

How we work

We show one exhibition at a time and keep a small number of works on view between exhibitions. Every work has its own page here, with its dimensions, its medium and what we know of its history.

If a work interests you, ask us about it. We answer every enquiry ourselves, usually within two working days.

Visit

Open Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 to 18:00. Closed on public holidays. Entry is free.

Outside opening hours we are glad to show work by appointment: write to us below with a day and a time that suit you.

If you need step-free access or a seat in the gallery, tell us when you write and we will have the room ready.
